Almost all MessageOps solutions are free for anyone to download and use in their environment. Support and customizations are available to clients that name MessageOps as the Partner of Record on their account.
Some applications do require a license key which will provided to you by MessageOps, just email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
In addition to applications, we’ve also developed numerous scripts which solve other smaller problems with Micorosft Online that our clients need. Examples include:
- Notifying users when their passwords are going to expire.
- Finding Credit Card information in mailboxes.
- Deleting all messages with a certain subject from all mailboxes.
- Bulk modification of folder level permissions.
- Reporting on mailbox size and quota usage.
All scripts are available as free downloads to registered members of the site.
The MessageOps Labs gives you a sneak peek at applications that are currently in development. You can try them out and offer feedback. The current solutions in development are:
- MessageOps SharePoint Migrator – A basic SharePoint library migration tool.
Microsoft Online Password Synchronization
MessageOps Microsoft Online Password Synchronization allows you to synchronize your Active Directory Passwords to Microsoft Online. When a user changes their password in Active Directory, that change is synchronized to Microsoft Online. This eliminates the need for users to remember multiple passwords which reduces frustration and helpdesk calls for password resets.
MessageOps Exchange Module
The MessageOps Exchange Module extensions extend the capabilities of the standard Microsoft Online PowerShell commands, giving administrators more control and reporting capabilities in the Microsoft Online environment. Examples of what is possible with these new commands include:
- Reporting on Blackberry and ActiveSync devices, including last sync time
- Reporting on Mailbox Size and Item Count
- Finding Messages with a given subject in a mailbox
- Exporting Messages to the file system
- Exporting Attachments to the file system
- And much more!
- Blackberry and ActiveSync devices in use, including last sync time
- Mailbox Size, Item Count, and Quota Usage
- Mailbox Servers users are located on
- Top Senders and Receivers
Exchange Online Monitor v2
MessageOps Exchange Online Monitor v2 allows you to monitor the health of the Microsoft Exchange online environment and interact with other users of the service in real time. It performs a variety of tests to help identify and isolate problems you may be experiencing and also allows you to interact in real time with other other users of the service to further help you determine if there is indeed a problem with the service. Features include:
- Real time alerting of potential problems
- Ability to interact with other users of the service and see their current status
- Generate reports to see performance over time
- And much more!
Microsoft Online User Portal
MessageOps Microsoft Online User Portal allows end users to perform common administrative tasks on their own, reducing the burden on administrators and the helpdesk. It currently supports 2 features: Group Management and Password Reset.
Group Management allows users to update the membership of Distribution Groups that they are the Manager of in the local Active Directory. These changes then get replicated to Microsoft Online via Directory Synchronization.
Password Reset allows users to reset their Microsoft Online Password without Administrator access. Password resets are a big administrative burden in Microsoft Online, and this simple web interface allows users to regain access to Microsoft Online if they forget their password.
MessageOps MSO Manager allows Administrators to perform many common tasks against their Microsoft Online users directly from Active Directory Users and Computers (ADUC). No more lauching the PowerShell to reset a user’s password or grant send as rights on a mailbox. You can even activate and assign a license to a Microsoft Online account through ADUC! It’s perfect for helpdesks since the application saves the Microsoft Online Administrator credentials, saving you from having to distribute the Administrator Credentials to helpdesk staff.
SharePoint Bridge v2
MessageOps SharePoint Bridge copies messages that arrive in Microsoft Exchange Online Mailboxes to Microsoft SharePoint Online document libraries. It gives Microsoft Online customers some of the same functionality that Mail Enabled Public Folders provide in on premise Exchange deployments. Uses of SharePoint Bridge include:
- Archive Exchange Online Distribution List discussions to SharePoint Online document libraries where they are archived and searchable.
- Configure generic email addresses, such as email@example.com, and have the messages delivered to SharePoint document libraries which can be viewed and replied to by multiple people within the organization.
MessageOps Dynamic Groups
MessageOps Dynamic Groups allows you to have Dynamic Distribution Group functionality with Microsoft Online. With Dynamic Groups you simply have to create an LDAP filter in your local Active Directory and the group membership is automatically populated at a scheduled time each day. These changes are then replicated to Microsoft Online via the Microsoft Online Directory Synchronization.
MessageOps Permissions Manager
MessageOps Permissions Manager allows administrators to quickly modify folder level permissions in Microsoft Exchange Online Mailboxes. It also allows bulk import and export of permissions, making it possible to migrate permissions from your local Exchange environment to Exchange Online.
Exchange Online Mailbox Search
MessageOps Exchange Online Mailbox Search, allows you to search for keywords or phrases across all of the mailboxes in your Microsoft Exchange Online account. This allows administrators to perform basic E-discovery tasks against the live mailbox data in Microsoft Exchange Online. It also gives administrators the ability to delete messages from the mailboxes in the event that someone accidentally or intentionally sends out confidential or inappropriate content.
OWA Notifier is a utility for users who primarily use Outlook Web Access to access their Exchange Online Mailbox. It alerts them when new mail arrives or there is an upcoming appointment. It also provides notification of any unread messages.
MessageOps Extractor allows you to export messages from Microsoft Exchange Online mailbox folders to .MSG files on a local file server. The application was designed to provide organizations a simple method to backup their Office Communicator Online converstations.
Nickname Cache Migrator
MessageOps Nickname Cache Migrator allows you to migrate you user’s Nickname Cache entries (.NK2 files) from their old Outlook Profile to their new Microsoft Online Outlook Profile. Losing the Nickname Cache entries can be a major source of frustration for people during the migration to Microsoft Online. With MessageOps Nickname Cache Migrator users can easily copy entries from their old NK2 file to their new NK2 file.
Directory Synchronization Exclusion Tool
MessageOps Password Grabber is a solution that helps you gather existing user passwords and then continually reset them to the same value in Microsoft Online. By continually resetting the passwords to the same value they will never expire.
