MessageOps Exchange Module

The MessageOps Exchange Module has replaced the MessageOps PowerShell Extensions. The PowerShell extensions are still available for download at the bottom of this page.

The MessageOps Exchange Module extend the capabilities of the standard Microsoft Online and Office 365 PowerShell commands, giving administrators more control and reporting capabilities in the Microsoft Online environment.  Examples of what is possible with these new commands include:  

  • Reporting on Blackberry and ActiveSync devices, including last sync time
  • Reporting on Mailbox Size and Item Count
  • Finding Messages with a given subject in a mailbox
  • Exporting Messages to the file system
  • Exporting Attachments to the file system
  • Setting Folder Level Permissions in mailboxes
  • Removing old meetings from resource mailboxes

The following commands are included in the MessageOps Exchange Module:  

Get-MessageOps.MailboxDelegates – Retrieves a list of mailbox delegates  

Set-MessageOpsMailboxDelegate – Modifies existing mailbox delegate  

Add-MessageOpsMailboxDelegate – Adds a new mailbox delegate  

Remove-MessageOpsMailboxDelegate – Removes a mailbox delegate  

Get-MessageOps.CalendarFreeBusyPermissions – Displays Free/Busy Permissions  

Add-MessageOps.CalendarFreeBusyPermission - Sets Free/Busy viewing Permission on Calendar  

Remove-MessageOps.CalendarFreeBusyPermission – Removes Free/Busy Permission  

Get-MessageOps.FolderPermissions – Displays folder level permissions  

Add-MessageOps.FolderPermission – Adds folder level permission for user  

Export-MessageOps.MessagesToDirectory – Exports an entire mail folder from mailbox to .eml files  

Export-MessageOps.MessageToEml – Exports a message to the file system as a .eml file  

Find-MessageOps.MailboxFolders – Finds folders in mailbox 

Get-MessageOps.AutoDiscover – Gets autodiscover settings for user  

Get-MessageOps.BPOSAutoDiscover – Gets BPOS Autodiscover information  

Get-MessageOps.BPOSCASURL – Gets BPOS CAS URL  

Get-MessageOps.FolderStatistics – Gets information about folders such as size, item count, unread count, last recieve time  

Get-MessageOps.MailboxFolder – Gets information on mailbox folder  

Get-MessageOps.MailboxSize - Gets mailbox size and item count  

Get-MessageOps.Message - Gets details on message in mailbox                      

Get-MessageOps.Messages – Gets details on messages in mailbox  

Get-MessageOps.MobileDevice – Gets details on ActiveSync and Blackberry Devices                        

Get-MessageOps.NameToAddressResolution – Resolves a name to an email address  

Get-MessageOps.Office365AutoDiscover – Gets Office 365 Autodiscover information        

Import-MessageOps.MessageFromEml – Imports .eml files into mailbox  

New-MessageOps.EWSProfile – Builds a connection to Microsoft Exchange, Exchange Online, or Office 365  

New-MessageOps.MailboxFolder – Creates a new folder in a mailbox  

Out-MessageOps.AttachmentsToFiles – Exports attachments in email messages as files  

Out-MessageOps.MessagesToRSS – Builds an RSS feed off messages in a mailbox  

Remove-MessageOps.ExpiredCalendarAppointments – Removes old appointments from a calendar  

Remove-MessageOps.FolderPermission – Removes folder permissions from a mailbox  

Remove-MessageOps.Message – Deletes a message from a mailbox  

Search-MessageOps.CrawlMailFolder - Allows for advanced mailbox searches                                   

Search-MessageOps.MailBox – Allows for basic mailbox searches           

Search-MessageOps.MailFolder – Searches a single mailbox folder                                  

Send-MessageOps.Message – Sends a message via EWS  

Send-MessageOps.MessageEml – Sends an existing .EML message via EWS
