Office 365 Client Updater

MessageOps Office 365 Client Updater is a simple application which provides administrators an automated method to deploy the recommended updates for Office 365.  This is useful for organizations new to Office 365, or organizations that are currently on BPOS and preparing for their Office 365 transition.

The manual method of deploying these updates is to instruct the end users to run the Office 365 desktop setup, but that requires that the users actually follow the instructions and are an administrator on their PC.  MessageOps Office 365 Client Updater can easily be run as a Group Policy Startup Script, and when executed will install the appropriate updates.

Update – There is now an install package available in the Downloads area which can be run by the end user directly.  This is useful insituations where it is not possible to deploy the updates through Group Policy.  It does require that the user have Admin rights.

Requirements

You must have the underlying OS and Office Service Packs installed.  The requirements are:

• XP Service Pack 3
• Vista Service Pack 2
• Office 2007 SP2
