MessageOps SharePoint Bridge v2 has been completely redesigned, eliminating the need for Outlook. SharePoint Bridge copies messages that arrive in Microsoft Exchange Online Mailboxes to Microsoft SharePoint Online document libraries. It gives Microsoft Online customers some of the same functionality that Mail Enabled Document Libraries Mail Enabled Public Folders provide in on premise deployments. Uses of SharePoint Bridge include:
- Archive Exchange Online Distribution List discussions to SharePoint Online document libraries where they are archived and searchable.
- Configure generic email addresses, such as customerservice@messageops.com, and have the messages delivered to SharePoint document libraries which can be viewed and replied to by multiple people within the organization.
The application runs as a Windows Service, and monitors the Exchange Online Mailbox for new messages. When a new message arrives, the rules table is evaluated and the message is copied to the appropriate document library.

The Messages are copied to the SharePoint site as .MSG files. This ensures they are searchable within SharePoint and able to be replied to when opened from SharePoint. It also copies message information, such as Subject, Received Time, and Recipient Information to SharePoint, so you can create a user friendly view.
The Document Library can also be added to Outlook as a SharePoint List. Users can then view and reply to messages located in the Document Library directly from Outlook.
