MessageOps SharePoint Bridge copies messages that arrive in Office 365 Mailboxes to Office 365 SharePoint document libraries. It gives Office 365 customers some of the same functionality that Mail Enabled Document Libraries and Mail Enabled Public Folders provide in on premise deployments. Uses of SharePoint Bridge include:
The application runs as a Windows Service, and monitors the Office 365 Mailbox for new messages. When a new message arrives, the rules table is evaluated and the message is copied to the appropriate document library.
The Rules in SharePoint Bridge allow you create a single mailbox in Exchange which can direct mail to multiple document libraries based on the email address it was sent to or keywords/phrases in the subject or body of the message.
When the messages are copied to the SharePoint document library, message metadata is also copied, allowing you to see fields like the subject, time stamps and sender information.
The Document Library can also be added to Outlook as a SharePoint List. Users can then view and reply to messages located in the Document Library directly from Outlook.
MessageOps SharePoint Bridge is free for everyone. Support is offered to MessageOps clients and those considering setting MessageOps as their partner. If you aren’t a MessageOps client, it’s free and easy to become one, click here for the details. The funds we receive from Microsoft through the partner program are what allow us to develop our solutions for the community.
